BMW says no plans to develop compact vehicle with rival: CFO

SHANGHAI (Reuters) – BMW Main Financial Officer Nicolas Peter claimed the Bavarian carmaker has no packages to create a compact vehicle collectively with a rival German carmaker.

“We have no packages to create a scaled-down motor vehicle collectively with a German competitor,” Peter claimed at the Shanghai Autoshow on Tuesday, pouring chilly drinking water on rumors that BMW was about to deepen its alliance with Daimler.
